  • About the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics was established in 1986 and it aims to train people who are oriented towards research and teaching in advanced areas of Mathematics. The department offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes in Mathematics. In addition, a 5-year integrated M.Sc. programme in Mathematics is also offered. Good computing and internet facilities are available for academic activities. The Department was supported for the development of infrastructure by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under FIST programme during 2009-14 and University Grants Commissions (UGC) - Special Assistance Programme (SAP) - DRS-I level during 2009-14. The department was supported by the University Grants Commission - Special Assistance Programme (SAP) - DRS-II level for enriching Research Support for the period 2015-20. The National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) gives support for the purchase of Library books related to Mathematics. Our Faculty members are holding National and International Projects. The following are the main research areas of the department: Algebra, Graph Theory, Hydrodynamic Stability, Number Theory, Differential Equation, Numerical Analysis and Topological Dynamics.

  • About the Conference

The objective of this conference is to discuss the recent developments in the field of differential equations with the focus on the latest techniques in analytical and numerical methods. In recent years, vast advances have been reported with respect to fractional differential equations, delay differential equations and integral equations with applications in the field of medical, physical and biological sciences. The current focus has been gradually shifted to the conducive study of the results obtained through various standard analytical and numerical methods. Computational methods with certain updated algorithms to study the integrability and solutions of various equations is quite prevalent. To mention a few, the study of solitons, rogue waves, computation through Homotopy Analysis method, Spectral Collocation method, Equivalence Transformations and Inverse mapping techniques are certain recent topics which has engrossed researchers enthusiastically. This conference will be a testimony to all the earlier and current existing techniques to solve several types of differential equations.

The conference will host lectures from eminent speakers across the globe who are willing to share their new findings and results to a wider audience, which could motivate some of the researchers to explore in those areas of research and may boost the possibilities of extensive joint work and future collaboration.
