Ananda Rangapillai Library, Pondicherry University

Pondicherry University Library was established on 11th September 1986. The Central Library of Pondicherry University was named after Ananda Rangapillai, the Dubash of French Governor Dupleix.

It has transformed into a Knowledge Resource Centre today, facilitating learning and research. It has a collection of over 5.91 lakh volumes, including print books, e-books, e-journals, e-databases, research tools, and e-theses.

The infrastructure, collection, and services have developed on par with any world-class university, all accessible through the library portal or with a remote login.

The library is housed in a modern, disabled-friendly building with an area of 80,000 square feet. It has a fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi-enabled environment, with comfortable seating arrangements for students and researchers.

Value-added services with an Institutional Repository of research output, Library Liaison Officers, book launching service, citation analysis, article delivery service, access to digital resources through the library portal and remote login, and computing facility for the visually challenged are a few highlights of the library.
