All sports registrations are completed through the BigTeams Student Central platform. If you have difficulty creating your accounts, you can view the help guides below or email: support@bigteams.com.
If you have previously participated in a sport in the Thompson School District and completed an on-line registration, you do not need to create new accounts. Use your current accounts, update the information, and complete/sign the forms. If you participated in a fall sport during the current school year, you only need to log in and select the sport in which you want to participate. Freshman families and TSD transfer students, be sure to update your school of attendance from your previous school to Loveland High School. Please read through the appropriate guide, as BigTeams has made some changes that will hopefully make the process a little easier.
PARTICIPATION FEES
The athletic participation fee may be paid online as part of the registration process via RevTrak
or you may pay by cash or check in the athletic office. http://thompson.revtrak.net
● Athletic fee for Thompson School District students: $175 per sport
● Athletic fee for non-Thompson students: $225 per sport
● High school family max for Thompson students: $400
● High school family max for students not enrolled in a Thompson School: $500
Please note that students will not be allowed to compete until the participation fee has been paid. Students who have been approved for the Free / Reduced Lunch Program may request to have their participation fee waived. Please send a copy of your approval letter to Jackie Anderson: jackie.anderson@tsd.org Additionally, students will not be allowed to compete if there are unpaid participation and equipment fees from the 2022-2023 school year. For additional questions or needs regarding participation fees, please reach out to Brandon Havard (brandon.havard@tsd.org)
ATHLETIC PHYSICALS
In order to participate in a sport, all students must have a current physical uploaded into their Student Central BigTeams account. Physicals are good for 365 days. For example, if a physical is dated February 25th, 2024, you will need to upload a new physical by February 26th, 2025, in order to continue participating without interruption. Before uploading the physical, please make sure it has been signed and dated by the doctor and marked “cleared for participation.” If a chiropractor completes the physical, make sure they add their SPC (School Physical
Certified) number. Please plan ahead so that your student does not have a time period in which they cannot participate due to an expired physical. Physical forms are available in the athletic office or on the homepage of your student’s Student Central account.
INSURANCE
All students must have insurance coverage before they will be allowed to participate on the February 26th start date. If your student does not have coverage, you may purchase a policy through K & K Insurance for a one-time fee: www.studentinsurance-kk.com
TRANSFER STUDENTS
If you transferred to Loveland High within the last 365 days and have not already completed transfer forms, contact Brandon Havard, our athletic director, so that you can begin the CHSAA transfer process: brandon.havard@tsd.org. Transfer students will not be allowed to compete until the application has been submitted and approved by CHSAA and academic records have been checked. The sooner you start that process, the sooner we can get it completed. It takes a while for approvals, especially at the beginning of the season.
