Abstract:
During the last week in class we were doing the syntesis project. We had to build a hydraulic arm and a fountain of Heró.
These days we had been looking for information about hydraulic power: all the information we found it we put in a document and a presentation, and we also built a hydraulic arm and a fountain. We shared the materials among all of us, and from the first day we started working on our projects. During the week, we had some complications, but we resolved them well.
The results were successful, the arm could lift 150g and had a good movement precision to pick up large objects, but the grip strength was limited. The Heron fountain didn't work because it had multiple leaks, and we couldn't repair them.
With all the investigation we have learned the basic physics principles of hydraulics, and demonstrated them with a functional arm and a Heron fountain.
