The project is about extreme weather phenomena. We looked for information about tornadoes, hurricanes, DANAS and pyrocumulonimbus, how they act and their consequencies:
Tornado
Very strong and dangerous wind that spins in a cercle and that has several consecuencies. Tornadoes can destroy homes, buildings and vehicles, many people can die because of that, it can affect the economy...
Hurricanes
Very strong storm that forms over the sea. Some consecuences are that they bring a lot of rain, houses can be destroyed, people may lose electricity and clean water...
Danas
Special weather system that makes a lot of rain and sometimes floods. Some consecuencies are that can cause very heavy rain, risk to people and animals, houses or vehicles may suffer damage...
Pyrocumulonimbus
Is a very big cloud made by a big fire. It looks like a huge storm cloud. It can make lightning, strong wind, and sometimes rain.
It forms when there is a very big fire, like a forest fire. The fire makes the air very hot. The hot air goes up into the sky. The hot air carries smoke and water. When the air goes high, it becomes cold. Then a big cloud forms. The cloud grows bigger and becomes a pyrocumulonimbus.
Why is it important to know more about this topic?
Stay safe: Knowing the weather helps us get ready for storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, or heavy rain, so we don’t get hurt or lose things.
We make better decisions
When we understand something well, we can choose better and make fewer mistakes.
We think more clearly
With more information, we can see what is true and what is not.
We learn and grow
Learning new things helps us grow and understand the world better.
It helps in daily life
Some topics are important for our health, work, and future.
We can talk with others more easily
When we know more, we can join conversations and share our opinions.
