About the Department:
No one can imagine life without electricity. We have started diploma in electrical engineering in 2009 and our intake capacity is now 60 students. We are offering 3 years professional diploma electrical engineering program that includes hands on projects and applications in the lab.
We have very good infrastructure. We arrange enough expert lectures, industrial visit, online webinars, finishing school, mentoring sessions, career guidance cell and extracurricular activities for overall development of the students.
We send students for Internship in third and fifth semester which is a plus point for them. Our state of the art laboratories strengthen the practical know-how for the theoretical background studied by the students. The department has its own Machine, Electronics and computer lab.

To develop technically and ethically sound diploma electrical engineers contributing towards society.

M1: To impart quality education for making them technically sound.

Welcome to the Electrical Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic Gandhinagar. "Success comes to those who work hard and stay with those who don't rest on the laurels of the past". The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we need to pause and reflect on this entire system of education. From this academic year, a new curriculum has been implemented with I feel proud to say that we have dedicated and genuine faculty members who deliver their knowledge with full enthusiasm and commitment to our students. The department strived to provide a conducive environment for the students to make them grow in all areas with co-curricular as well as extracurricular activities.
