About the Department:
The Department of Computer Engineering was established in 1991 to run Diploma Level Programme in area of Computer Engineering recognized by AICTE. Initially It started with 30 intake (180 At Present). Computer Engineering is one of the most in-demand professional field with an objective to provide students with the knowledge of engineering and technology. Programming, Networking, Security, Data Management and many Other Technologies are few important areas to emphasis the departmental students.
Vision
To develop technically skilled, adaptive, ethical technicians as well as prospective technologists for the industry and the society.
Mission
To provide sound technological skills through student-centered teaching approach and outcome based comprehensive curriculum.
To motivate students to be successful and effective problem-solvers through inculcation of ethical and sustainability values.
To provide a leading environment conducive to professional growth and lifelong learning.

1. To work as a computer professional using the core competencies of Computer Engineering and allied disciplines.
2. To provide integrated solutions through computing and user interface, resolving professional, social and environmental problems.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO)
1. Work as a team member to solve well defined problems in the software industry.
2. Troubleshoot computer hardware and network related issues.

Welcome to the Computer Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic Gandhinagar. "Success comes to those who work hard and stay with those who don't rest on the laurels of the past". The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we need to pause and reflect on this entire system of education. From this academic year, a new curriculum has been implemented with I feel proud to say that we have dedicated and genuine faculty members who deliver their knowledge with full enthusiasm and commitment to our students.
