Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, also known as Polytechnic Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS), was officially launched in 2002. The establishment of this institution was part of the Malaysian government’s efforts to strengthen and improve technical and vocational training in the country, in order to meet the needs of the industry.

The polytechnic was initially set up to offer diploma-level courses in the fields of engineering and information technology. Over the years, the institution added more courses to its curriculum including business studies, hospitality, and tourism to cater to the changing needs of the workforce and industry.

Since it was established, the institution has grown and developed to become one of the leading polytechnic institutions in Malaysia, producing thousands of graduates who have found employment in various sectors both within and outside the country. Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin continues to strive towards excellence in vocational and technical education and training, with the aim of producing highly skilled workforce that is versatile and competitive.
