Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, often referred to as PTSS, is a polytechnic institution located in Perlis, Malaysia. This institution is named after the royal patron, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin. It offers diploma programs in various fields such as engineering, information technology, business studies, and hospitality and tourism. The institution is recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and it is under the administration of the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education, a department under the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia. It aims to provide high-quality technical and vocational education and training to prepare students for the job market.
Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, also known as Polytechnic Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS), was officially launched in 2002. The establishment of this institution was part of the Malaysian government’s efforts to strengthen and improve technical and vocational training in the country, in order to meet the needs of the industry.
The polytechnic was initially set up to offer diploma-level courses in the fields of engineering and information technology.
