Cape Escape 2019
We arrived on the Cape on July 30, 2019. We noticed downed trees and later learned that three tornadoes had touched down in several locations on the Cape. Thankfully it was all over when we arrived. Our first stop was lunch in Rock Harbor.
Great Place, pay in cash, no credit cards
Good food and quaint decor
My typical fare at these places is fish-n-chips. Not healthy but tasty
Heavy Surf
The passing storm stirred up the ocean. It was closed to swimmers but not kite surfers
Our Rental Property
Our rental home was located in Eastham on the bay side. Just minutes from beaches.
We slept on a Futon which is an uncomfortable bed that converts to an uncomfortable sofa.
Karl Marx?
Quite an eclectic selection of titles
Plenty of room
Unique Furnishings
Sunrise
Watching the sunrise is one of my Cape rituals. The birds are especially active and there are plenty of seals to watch.
Music Jam
I had the opportunity to play some tunes with friends who camp at Nickerson State Park
The Beach
Family fun at the beach
Lobster & Chowder

Some renovation and a warning
Shopping
My sister and I can't resist a thrift store or any place full of junk and curios. Rustored Salvage is our kind of place.
