CLASSROOM RULES

1. Do what a teacher says without HESITATION or TALKING back. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, you may talk to the teacher politely after class. If the matter is not resolved, then you may speak to an administrator.

1. RESPOND “Yes Ma’am / Sir” or “No Ma’am / Sir”.

1. RESPECT yourself, others and property.

1. BRING all materials to class everyday.

1. Stay FOCUSED and stay on TASK.

1. BELIEVE in yourself.

1. Clean-up YOUR WORK AREA BEFORE leaving class.

CLASS PROCEDURES

1. When you enter the room:

· Go to your assigned seat

· Get out your materials for the beginning of class—you may

sharpen your pencil at this time

· Store everything under your desk (Not in the aisles please)

· Begin working on the 5-Minute Warm-up

· Have your HW and agenda out on your desk ready for me to check

****CLASS BEGINS WHEN YOU ENTER THE ROOM AND CLASS ENDS WHEN I DISMISS YOU.

2. While I am teaching:

· Remain in your seat (do not get up to sharpen a pencil or throw

away trash without permission)

· Take notes

· Ask appropriate questions

· When I ask a question to the whole class, raise your hand to

answer. Please do not call out answers unless you have been

called on.

3. If you finish an assignment early:

· You may work on completing another assignment for this class

· You may begin your HW

· You may work on an extra credit sheet

· If all of the above has been completed, you may read an AR book

4. If you are absent:

· It is your responsibility to ask a fellow student for any missed

notes before the notebook check.

· Assignments will be on the weekly handout

· Ask the teacher for any handouts
