The mission of the Polk Schools BOLT Mentorship Program is to foster meaningful, lasting connections between students at Polk County Middle School, Polk County High School, and Polk County Early College and caring members of our community.

Through these relationships, BOLT creates a network of encouragement and support that helps students discover their strengths, build confidence, and recognize the possibilities ahead. Mentors have the opportunity to walk alongside students, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear as they navigate their school years and prepare for the future.

BOLT also seeks to inspire students to become leaders—not only within their schools and social circles, but throughout the broader community. By connecting young people with adults who believe in them and model the importance of service and responsible citizenship, we hope to inspire the next generation to lead with purpose and care.

Through BOLT, we strive to:
