About Me

Hello all!! My name is Mr. Tanner and I will be teaching Science at CMS this year. I am from Cedartown and attended college at Kennesaw State University. I am currently enrolled at Georgia Southern University where I am pursing my Masters degree in Instructional technology. I am married and have a son named George and a pet rabbit named Stella. I look forward to meeting everyone this year and building some great relationships.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe in fostering curiosity and critical thinking by creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. Through hands-on experiments, real-world connections, and interactive discussions, I aim to inspire a lifelong love for science. Recognizing diverse learning styles, I adapt my approach to meet individual needs, encouraging collaboration and self-expression. By emphasizing problem-solving and ethical considerations, I aim to empower students to become informed global citizens equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
