Welcome to Business, Management, & Finance

Hi! My name is Jennae Elder, and I am excited to welcome you to a new school year!

I was born and raised in Cedartown, Georgia, and I am proud to be a graduate of Cedartown High School. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate, my Master's degree in Business Education, my Specialist degree in Business Education, and my Educational Leadership Tier I Certification, all from the University of West Georgia.

This year marks my 22nd year teaching at Cedartown Middle School. I co-teach with our Career teacher, Rodney Little, in our 60-computer business and careers lab. Together, we have developed an integrated curriculum that combines both Business and Career standards into every lesson and project. Each activity is designed with clear learning goals, essential questions, and step-by-step instructions to help students succeed.

Our goal is to prepare students for success beyond middle school by developing technology, business, career readiness, and problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout high school, college, and future careers. We also help ensure every student meets the requirements of Georgia's BRIDGE Law, empowering them to make informed decisions about their educational and career pathways.
