Hi! My name is Abigail (Kiser) Morgan and this is my 6th year teaching as well as my 7th year teaching 6th grade and my 2nd year teaching 8th grade. I am 2014 honor graduate of Cedartown High School. I was born and raised in Cedartown, and it has always been my goal to come back to my hometown to make a positive impact on the students in the school system that helped build who I am today.
I am a member of Pine Bower Baptist Church, where my dad is the pastor and my mama is the music leader. I am very active in helping in our youth and children's programs and I also help with worship. Riding horses and barrel racing is what you can find me doing outside of work. Horses are literally our entire life if I am being honest! I basically love anything to do with the outdoors. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Nick. We have 5 horses and their names are Dee, Princess, Jules, Tater and Rooster. We also have a dog named Bear and a cat named Willow. We just had our first baby in August and her name is Wrenley! I am the head coach of the boys and girls tennis teams here at CMS. I am a die-hard Alabama fan, so ROLL TIDE!
I graduated from Shorter University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education. I also have earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction online through Liberty University in December 2021. During middle and high school, I was a member of the Lady Dawgs tennis team. I also played 2 years at Shorter on a scholarship for the Hawks. Fun fact: my horse Jules has led me to 7 champion buckles and together we have won many local series, and have qualified for the NBHA World Show twice, one of those times making it to the finals. She is the best!
My Teaching Philosophy is that every child should be given an equal opportunity to freely learn, share ideas, and thrive in my classroom.Â
