COURSE OVERVIEW
Grade 7 Mathematics
Seventh-grade mathematics develops students' skills through four major areas: numerical reasoning, probability, algebraic reasoning, and geometry. Students work with rational numbers, solve real-world percent and proportional reasoning problems, write and solve expressions, equations, and inequalities, investigate slope and similar triangles, and explore area, volume, and angle relationships. Throughout the course, students apply the Georgia Mathematical Practices, Mathematical Modeling Framework, and Framework for Statistical Reasoning to solve problems, think critically, and make meaningful connections between mathematics and everyday life.
