SAT/ACT Prep

Course Summary:

In SAT/ACT Prep class, we will go over the necessary math and verbal skills to prepare for the SAT or ACT. We will take practice tests, and I will teach content in specific areas. Also, we will go over basic test taking skills and work on building confidence to avoid test anxiety.

Approved calculators for SAT and ACT:

• all scientific calculators are permitted (like the kind we use in class)

• MOST graphing calculators are allowed

PROHIBITED Graphing Calculators:

• The TI 92 is PROHIBITED on both the SAT and ACT due to its QWERTY keyboard

• The SAT allows test takers to use the TI-89, but the ACT does NOT ALLOW test takers to use the TI-89.
