The 9th Regional Educators and Students Product Exhibition (RESPEx 2025) is an esteemed platform that brings together students, educators, researchers, and industry professionals from across Southeast Asia and beyond. Hosted by Politeknik Negeri Medan and co-hosted by Politeknik Port Dickson, this exhibition highlights groundbreaking innovations in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
RESPEx 2025 offers participants a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity, engage in knowledge-sharing, and foster cross-border collaborations. With a strong focus on innovation, integration, and sustainability, this event features competitions, exhibitions, and networking sessions that inspire technological advancement.

To provide a regional competition platform for product innovations of POLYCC and Higher Education Institutions students.
To showcase student innovation products that have impact and potential for commercialization.
To encourage students develop new ideas that are more creative and innovative and compete at the regional level.
RESPEx2023
The 8th Regional Educators, Students Product's Exhibition (RESPEx) 2023 is a jointly hosted event by the Politeknik Negeri Padang. Indonesia and cohosted by Politeknik Port Dickson (PPD) with cooperation from Jabatan Pendidikan Politeknik & Kolej Komuniti (JPPKK) and the Technological Association of Malaysia (TAM). This event is open to all participating higher education students and supervisors to gain recognition for their great creative invention and offers an exciting opportunity for the invention to be showcased to the local and international industry.
RESPEx2021
This exhibition marks the cementing of collaborations between countries in the Southeast Asian region, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, and South Korea. These three countries signed a Certificate of Collaboration in 2019 in Politeknik Port Dickson, Malaysia. The strategic collaboration encapsulates various forms of collaborative programs, including RESPEx, which is under the purview of DPCCE (the Department of Polytechnic and Community College, Malaysia), and Politeknik Port Dickson, Malaysia. In addition, RESPEx has always been a co-organized event among these strategic collaborators.
RESPEx2019
RESPEX 2019 is an international scale exhibition and competition in by 4 countries, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Laos. With a total number of participants of approximately 181 teams, each team consists of 3 people who create various kinds of exhibition products intended to showcase students' creativity through quality product creation and design.
RESPEx2018
The third RESPEx in 2018 extended its border to include participants from Medan, Jakarta, Aceh, and South Korea (Ansan University, Dongguk University, and Korea University). A total of 135 entries comprising of 400 participants whereby 45 projects and 70 participants were from Indonesia and South Korea. In 2019 and 2020, RESPEx was not held due to imminent constraints.
RESPEx2017
During the second RESPEx in 2017, there were over 120 entries from Malaysia and Indonesia. Furthermore, a few other polytechnics in Malaysia also participated, such as Politeknik Ungku Omar, Politeknik Banting, Politeknik Merlimau, Politeknik Seberang Perai, and Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. The number of participants from community colleges and public universities was also increasing. Higher learning institutions from Medan and Jakarta continued to show their interest and commitment by participating in the event.
RESPEx2016
The first RESPEx in 2016 saw the submission of more than 90 products from Malaysia and Indonesia. Politeknik Port Dickson represented the majority of participants, while learning institutions from Medan, Indonesia, made up most of the international submissions.
