o Eating or chewing gum in class
o Throwing objects
o Damaging or misuse of school property or classroom equipment
1st time = warning
2nd time = warning / meeting with teacher during or after class
3rd time = parent alert e-mail and/or phone call home
4th & each subsequent time = detention (lunch or after school); parent notified
1st time = warning
2nd time = warning / meeting with teacher during or after class
3rd time = parent alert and/or phone call home
4th & 5 time = detention (lunch or after school); parent notified
6th time = referral to administrator
Notes: Two warnings will not be given in the same class period. If the misbehavior continues after a warning has been given in that same class period, a detention will be assigned.
In addition to the consequences above, any student who does not follow classroom rules and demonstrate safe & appropriate behavior during labs and activities will not be permitted to participate in that activity and will be given an alternate assignment to complete. Parents will be notified.
