What is Dynamic Ad insertion?
Dynamic Ad insertion enables the network to utilize even the past episodes of our shows. The only things we need to know to deploy a Dynamic Ad is (1) Target listens, (2) Target Audience: Demographic and Location, (3) and the Podcast Category. Acast is the platform we use to deploy Dynamic Ads.
We use U.S. industry standard computation of $20 CPM. For every 1000 impressions $20 cost.
Process:
Ask the client for a filled-out, signed, and PDF copy of the Scoping Sheet - DAI to client, transparent logo for the Episode art, and if they want to have a Viber or WhatsApp group for faster communication.
Upon Receipt, ask the associates to create the script (1-2 days max)
Once approved, send the DAI Guidelines to the podcaster
Hybrid Execution is a combination of a Themed Episode and Dynamic Ads. Where the sponsored Themed Episode is cross-promoted in the back catalogs through Dynamic Ad Execution.
Process:
Ask the client for a filled-out, signed, and PDF copy of the Scoping Sheet - DAI to client, transparent logo for the Episode art, and if they want to have a Viber or WhatsApp group for faster communication.
Upon receipt send Themed Episode Guideline to Podcaster (sample) and have the associates create the pre-roll script and the cross-promotion script (2-3 working days).
Send to the client for approval. If client asks for the audio (make sure that you expedite getting the recording/ the next step)
Do the necessary back and forth (note: Client can only suggest up to 2 revisions- make sure your narrative is clear every time you coordinate about approvals).
Once approved send Annex A (sample) to the podcaster and the internal team (#show channel)
Upon receipt of the recording ask for a clean and edited version of the cross-promo then set it up on Acast (start date: date of release, end date: after a month, make sure to input the target listens- based on the proposal)
2-3 days before the release of the episode, remind the internal teams.
Once the episode is released, send the link to the client and be prepared for the reporting phase.
Deployment of Dynamic Advertisements
Deployment of Cross Promotion
Cross-promotions come from the Marketing Team and is done to promote a show in another show. We use trello (>link to trello) to track and deploy the cross-promo requests.
Acast Campaign Manager is where we deploy dynamic ads and cross-promotions (tutorial). It enables us to target shows in which the plugs will be heard, the location of the audience and the number of listens that we are targeting in a specific campaign or promotion.
