POBCSD Library Mission Statement

The mission of the POB School Library program is to create a sustainable, student-centered library media center where we equip students with the skills and resources necessary to succeed in the 21st century. We provide a space that is open, inclusive, and collaborative. We aim to provide programs that encourage innovation and to curate resources that provide their users with necessary information through a wide selection of materials from varying perspectives. The library’s mission is also to encourage an appreciation of literature and to endeavor for every student to become lifelong readers and learners.
