Max Lytvyn is one of Grammarly’s original co-founders. Born in Ukraine, he studied Management Information Systems at the International Christian University in Kyiv and later earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University in the U.S. Before Grammarly, Max co-created MyDropBox, a plagiarism detection tool for students. His passion for improving communication led to Grammarly’s launch in 2009. Today, he’s known for shaping Grammarly’s strategic direction and helping it grow into a global AI writing platform.
Alex Shevchenko is Grammarly’s co-founder and Product Lead. He was born in Ukraine and earned his BBA from the International University in Vienna, Austria, followed by an MBA from the University of Toronto. Alongside Max, he helped build MyDropBox before launching Grammarly. Alex oversees product development and ensures Grammarly’s tools meet the evolving needs of users. He’s also a dedicated meditator and a seed investor in tech ventures like FarmTogether.
Dmytro Lider is Grammarly’s third co-founder and Head of Language Technology. Based in Kyiv, he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science and software engineering from the National Aviation University, graduating cum laude. Dmytro previously worked as a software engineer and project lead at MyDropBox. At Grammarly, he leads the development of its natural language processing engine and oversees research strategy.
