My research focuses on renal cell biology and molecular mechanisms of glomerular disease, particularly podocyte injury and signaling pathways downstream of protease-activated receptor-1 (PAR-1) in nephrotic syndrome. My work investigates pro-fibrotic signaling, cytoskeletal regulation, and podocyte motility using both 2D cellular systems and advanced 3D models (e.g., glomerular spheroids and organoids). I also have research interests in translational and clinical laboratory sciences, including immunopathology, envenomation and antivenom response, hematology (blood group genetics), and metabolic epidemiology. In addition, I am interested in natural product research, particularly the neuroprotective effects of herbal extracts in inhibiting Alzheimer’s disease–related pathogenesis.
