Databases are very useful as they allow us to manage information. We can store, update and retrieve information using queries. Most of you are regularly interacting with database technology through the use of websites like Trademe, Google, Facebook, iTunes, Twitter, YouTube, Amazon and pretty much all on-line stores work through a database.
