About the Department
The Department of Political Science of P. N. Das College started its journey in 2002 with only two teachers and few students. In a short span of time the department has attracted quite numbers of dedicated young students all across the state of West Bengal. At present, one Associate Professor, one one Assistant Professor and two State Aided College Teachers have been enriching the Department with their sincerity, brilliance, and sympathetic attitude towards the students. The Department with limitations has infrastructural facilities including Wi-Fi facility, smart classrooms and modern teaching aids to meet the changing demands of robust teaching and research.
Students of Political Science are given in-depth knowledge about Political Theory, Political Thought, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Public Administration, Indian Political Thought, Indian Government and Politics, etc. They are encouraged to ask questions and debate on various social and political issues. Apart from the academic activities the department also organizes various programmes and encourages students to participate in many activities like quiz competitions, youth parliament competitions, etc to build up their morale and boost their confidence.
