Get to Know the Tutor,  Mrs. Kristin A. Kemmerer

I began my teaching career in 2002 after graduating from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  Since that time, I have been employed by Parkland School District, Sylvan Learning Centers, Varsity Tutors, and currently Pocono Mountain School District.  In 2008, I obtained a Masters Degree in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University, and more recently, in May 2022, I earned a Masters Degree in Reading from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.  In addition, I am a PA Certified Reading Specialist K-12. 

I am a wife, mother of two, fitness and reading enthusiast, and lover of doodle mixes.

My passion is working with beginning readers to increase both their confidence and skills, supporting them to become lifelong learners and readers!
