Tech-Careers Summer Institute
For Plumas County Students
Hosted at Feather River College
TESI is a FREE two-week summer institute sponsored by Plumas Charter School and Plumas Unified School District, local information & communications technology businesses and hosted at Feather River College. This 2 week program provides high school (age 15 and up) students the opportunity to discover if they are interested in a career in technology! This 2-week (plus one day) summer education & job shadow program will introduce and develop skills to equip students to enter into careers in the local IT industry by engaging in IT Fundamentals as well as gain insights into this sector by rotating through different site visits Including Plumas County IT Services, Plumas Bank, Plumas District Hospital, Bullit Technologies and Sierra Pacific Industries. Students will also develop professional workplace skills and knowledge to apply to their resume.

STEVE HILL
Steve Hill is an experienced senior executive, CEO and entrepreneur in several Financial Services and Software Businesses. Steve is the President of AIQ Systems, a world leader in artificial intelligent trading software and education for the professional and individual stock and options traders. Steve is also an educator in stock market analysis, derivative trading, and trading psychology.
Areas of Expertise Include:
- Educating professional and individual investors
- Software engineering project specification and management
- Website development from design to execution
- Direct and indirect marketing
- Contract negotiation
- Accounting and taxation
- Digital media design
Steve lives in Meadow Valley - a Plumas County Local and his favorite pastimes include: Skate and skiing, snow shoeing, running, hiking, yoga and martial arts. He is also involved in the community as Board President of Plumas Charter School, Co-chair of youth services at Quincy Rotary, and a DJ at KQNY 91.9FM in Quincy
