Head Coach April Boudreau
Coach Boudreau’s passion for volleyball, first ignited at age 12, has fueled a distinguished career as both a player and a coach. A 1997 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, she was a multi-decorated athlete, earning five varsity letters in volleyball and basketball. She continued her volleyball career at Capital University, graduating in 2001 with a degree in Secondary Education. She earned her Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Western Governors University in 2017.
After graduating from Capital University, Coach Boudreau began a 12-year coaching career at Lakewood Local School District. Her successful tenure was highlighted by being named Licking County Coach of the Year in 2006 and leading her team to a Central District Championship in 2007.
Since taking the helm at Pickerington North in 2014, Coach Boudreau has consistently elevated the program to new heights. She has built a perennial contender, guiding her teams to five OCC Ohio Championships (2017, 2022-2025) and two Central District Runner-Up finishes (2017, 2023).
Her leadership reached a new peak in 2024 and 2025, as the team captured back-to-back Central District Championship trophies. The historic 2024 season culminated in the program's first-ever Regional Championship and an appearance in the state final four. In recognition of this success, Coach Boudreau has been named OCC Coach of the Year five times and was honored as the 2024 Columbus Dispatch Metro Volleyball Coach of the Year.
Grounded in the values of hard work, dedication, and teamwork, Coach Boudreau is dedicated to fostering a positive and competitive environment where her players can thrive. She currently teaches AP European History and Pre-AP World History at Pickerington High School North. She resides in Pickerington with her husband, Scott.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Tony Keys
Coach Tony is a highly experienced and successful volleyball coach with over a decade of experience developing athletes and leading teams. His leadership capabilities were showcased in 2021 when he took the helm as Head Coach at Northridge High School. In that banner season, he guided the team to a remarkable District Runner-Up finish and was named the CDVCA Coach of the Year for Division III.
This success was built on a strong foundation. Coach Tony previously dedicated eleven years to Pickerington North High School, honing his skills as a Varsity Assistant and JV Coach. His coaching resume also includes valuable experience at Lakewood High School and at the club level with Columbus Volleyball Academy (CVA) and HOVA, where he has been instrumental in the growth of young players.
Coach Tony's passion for athletics is rooted in his own decorated career as a multi-sport athlete at Reynoldsburg High School. He excelled in soccer, basketball, and baseball, earning eight varsity letters and numerous accolades.
Currently, Tony balances his coaching with his professional role as an Inventory Control Specialist 2 for the State of Ohio. He resides in Reynoldsburg with his daughters, Bailee and Brinlee.
JV Black Coach - Mike Rosenberg
Coach Mike brings a wealth of coaching experience and a deep love for the Pickerington community to the volleyball court. His athletic roots are in football and baseball, playing football competitively through high school. This foundation led him to 20 years of coaching experience in football, progressing from youth leagues all the way to assisting with a high school program (GCCS).
About eight years ago, Mike shifted his focus to volleyball, starting with a YMSA program and local recreation leagues. His dedication quickly expanded into club volleyball about six years ago, and he currently coaches club volleyball for Game Plan Athletics..
A 2002 graduate of Grove City High School, Mike has served as a professional firefighter for the city of Columbus since 2011. He's also committed to continuous learning, currently pursuing his Associate's Degree at Franklin University.
Mike and his family made Pickerington their home in 2022, and his daughter was an active part of the PNVB program.. This personal connection has allowed him to grow to love the community and fully embrace the vibrant volleyball family. This coaching position at Pickerington North High School offers Mike the ideal opportunity to combine his passion for the sport with his desire for even greater involvement in the Pickerington North community.
JV Silver Coach - Deja Clark
Coach Deja is a former varsity volleyball player from Pickerington High School North, where she competed under the leadership of Coach April Boudreau. During her high school career, Deja earned numerous accolades, including a Fourth-Year Varsity Letter, 2016 O.C.C. Co-Player of the Year, First Team All-O.C.C., Second Team All-District, 2016 Best Offensive Player, and Dispatch/Agonis Club Player of the Week honors. She was also selected to represent the Ohio Valley Region’s High-Performance Team, competing internationally at the 2014 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships.
Throughout high school, Deja competed at the highest level of club volleyball, playing for two premier clubs, Columbus Volleyball Academy and Mintonette Sports.
Deja went on to earn a full athletic scholarship to the University of Evansville, a Division I institution in Indiana. She later transferred to Central State University, where she made a historic impact on the volleyball program. As a member of the CSU Marauders, Deja achieved multiple program firsts and set several records. In 2019, she was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Player of the Year, becoming the first CSU student-athlete of any sport in school history to receive that honor. That same season, she became the first player in program history to finish in the top ten in three conference statistical categories: kills, blocks, and aces, and also set the CSU single-season record for kills. She graduated from Central State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and is currently working as a Senior Case Advocate for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.

Accepting this coaching position at my alma mater allows me to give back to the program and community that played such a meaningful role in my development. It’s an honor to coach alongside a staff and represent a school that holds a special place in my heart.”
8th Grade Coach - Megan Vayansky
Coach Megan is a familiar face returning to Pickerington North, bringing her extensive playing experience and passion for the sport back to her alma mater. A proud Panther, Megan was the setter on the 2017 OCC Championship Team and also played club volleyball throughout her high school career. Her talent on the court earned her a scholarship to play at Lourdes University in Toledo, Ohio, where she graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.
Currently, Megan is pursuing her teaching certification and actively coaches club volleyball at HOVA.
Megan's excitement to coach at Pickerington North is especially personal; she played under Coach Boudreau since the 6th grade, making this a full-circle moment. Megan lives in Pickerington with her two beloved dogs: a pug and a mini dachshund.
7th Grade Coach - Katie Honaker
Katie brings a wealth of playing experience and a passion for the game to her coaching role. With nine years of volleyball under her belt, she's a proud alumna of the PNVB program, where she was a key member of the 2022 and 2023 OCC Championship teams. During her time at Pickerington North High School, Katie was a three-year letter winner and still holds the season and match records for aces. Her dedication to the sport extended to the club circuit, where she played for nine years on various national-level teams.
Katie's coaching journey began as an assistant coach for a 13U team at Evolution for two seasons. She currently coaches club volleyball for Buckeye, continuing to share her expertise with up-and-coming players.
Beyond the court, Katie is actively pursuing a nursing degree. She's thrilled to continue her involvement with the sport she loves right here at Pick North.
