I’m thrilled to be back in the library for the 2024–2025 school year! One of the best parts of my job is getting to know our incredible K–5th grade students—and this year has been no exception.
Before returning to the library, I spent three amazing years as a TOSA peer coach supporting middle school teachers. Prior to that, I served as a teacher librarian for 14 years and a classroom teacher for 13 years. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach in three great communities: St. Peter, Eden Prairie, and for the past 23 years, here in Prior Lake.
I hold a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of St. Scholastica, as well as a Library Media Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
I’m passionate about teaching and love chatting with students about their favorite books and new discoveries. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, our three amazing sons, and other family and friends. In my free time, you’ll often find me with a good book, exploring educational resources online, learning more about literacy instruction, or kayaking on one of our beautiful local lakes.
