About Me

I’m thrilled to be back at Hidden Oaks Middle School for the  2026–2027 school year! One of the best parts of my job is getting to be part of an amazing middle school community! I spent three amazing years as a TOSA peer coach supporting middle school teachers a few years ago.  Prior to that, I served as a teacher librarian for 15 years and a classroom teacher for 13 years. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach in three great communities: St. Peter, Eden Prairie, and for the past 25 years, here in Prior Lake.

I hold a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of St. Scholastica, as well as a Library Media Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

I enjoy  teaching, have always had a passion for technology and love chatting with students about their favorite books and new discoveries. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, our three amazing sons, and other family and friends. In my free time, you’ll often find me with a good book, exploring educational resources online, kayaking on one of our beautiful local lakes, or taking a walk around town.
