During Hook week, the children took a walk around the streets surrounding the school to become more aware of the community and environment that surrounds them. Using the Geography terminology of 'physical' and 'human' features, children looked out for things along the way and then made notes on the experience when they returned to school.

The Year 3 and 4 children were lucky to to visit the only Polar bears in England on their visit to The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, we had so much fun finding out about about the Polar Bears at YWP, their adaptations, their arctic habitat, threats they face in the wild and what we can do to help. The children enjoyed handling a replica Polar Bear skull and claws during their time there.
