English and Anchor Texts

During Hook Week, our key text will be 'Escape from Pompeii'.

Linking to RE, our text will be Mrs Noah's Pockets, which explores the story of Noah's Ark.

As we move into our English Cycle, our key text will be 'Flood' as we prepare poetry to present to the residents of Fishlake and those who supported them during the flooding in 2019.

We also have a range of other texts, specifically picture books, to support each case study.

Hook Week Text.

Join Tranio and Livia as their day turns into a nightmare. This lovely picture book provides a link between our previous expedition about the Romans and this expedition of Natural Disaster as the Versusvius Eruption of AD75 is recounted from the eyes of two children.
