Description: This is a cast bronze key that has a quatrefoil at the end with an imprint of the capital building and is tied with a red, white and blue ribbon. The key was presented by the Mayor of Washington D.C. to Mayflower II and her crew on April 16, 1958 while they were on tour along the East Coast of the United States, a year after the initial sail across the Atlantic in 1957.
