*I will be sending books home in your child's homework folder every Monday night beginning in October (due back the following Monday)! They need to be read (out loud to an adult or responsible fluent reader) three times for fluency, so if your child reads them once Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, (or if over the weekend works better for you, once Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), he/she shouldn't get too overwhelmed. Please keep an eye out for the book bags!
*I will have our treat list on the website under the Information tab. If you need a reminder of which holiday party you signed up for, it will be there for the year. I will, of course, send a note home about a week before each party to remind those who signed up. Thanks for your help!
*Our book order is due October 9th. This is the last order of the school year. Please order online using the code GLB7M (we get free shipping when you order online!)
*Don't forget to check your child's binder nightly. There should be graded papers and/or notes in it every day. You can keep all the graded papers and notes (unless they say otherwise) and send your child to school with empty folders. Please place any notes you may have for me in the red folder, and any scholastic book orders, lunch money, etc. you may have for me in the zipper pocket!
*It would be wonderful if you could have your child practice tying his/her shoes at home!!!
*If you haven't already, it would be a great idea if you could put a spare set of clothes in a bag for your child to keep in his/her backpack. Although I try to send them right away, sometimes they just don't always make it to the restroom in time and it would be helpful if they could change into some of their own clothes so that they would be more comfortable. Thanks so much!
