ACCESS & PARING

Access through back parking off Gibb Street (one way up only):  

Use the remote provided to open the remote controlled gate.  It will close automatically.  

To exit, drive up to gates fitted with pressure plates that will detect a vehicle and open automatically.  

There is no allocated parking; you need merely find an open bay.  

Access to the apartment is through the double glass doors that you passed on your left as you drove into parking.  Proceed up steps and immediately on your right is a stairwell with a security gate.

POWER OUTAGES

Please note that power outages, also known as Load shedding, may occur during your stay with us.


What is Load shedding? When the demand for electricity exceeds the available supply, planned supply interruptions may be carried out by the utility supplier, Eskom. It is a controlled way of rotating the available electricity among all Eskom customers. Affected areas are not interrupted for more than two hours at a time in accordance with the Load shedding schedule as set out by Eskom.  Because Eskom implements load shedding at random, we are unable to provide you with a current schedule. Below are two ways for you to be aware and prepared for any current and/or impending load shedding at any given time.


Option 1: Go to Eskom website

To view the schedule, see www.loadshedding.eskom.co.za

Select Province: Western Cape

Select Municipality: Bitou

Select Suburb: Plettenberg Bay


Option 2:  Download a free application (app) that allows users to view what areas will be affected by power outages that day. During load shedding, or when there has been a change to the load shedding schedule, the app will send users push notifications.

BACKUP POWER
This unit is fitted with an inverter and battery backup, capable of sustaining essential power for up to four hours during a power outage.  Read more here

Connect to a secure Wi-Fi network

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure your connection Wi-Fi is turned on. Select the name of the secure Wi-Fi network you want to join.

Enter the password for the secure Wi-Fi network, then select Join/Connect. If you can't select Join/Connect, the password you've entered is incorrect.  

GARBAGE COLLECTION

Where must I place my garbage?  Please place garbage in black bags in the passage before 9am.

When is the garbage collected? Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays
