Welcome! I’m Mrs. Burton, and this will be my eleventh year of teaching and my ninth year at Lydiksen Elementary School! In the past, I lived in New Zealand and taught 1st grade for 2 years. Here at Lydiksen, I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 3rd grade. I was raised here in Pleasanton and attended Amador Valley High School. I went on to attend the University of Kentucky, where I played soccer and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. More recently, I earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership along with my administration credential from California State University East Bay.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, traveling, mountain biking, paddleboarding, reading, playing soccer, spending time with animals, and taking photos.

In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students. I look forward to getting to know more about my students. Oh, the Places We’ll Go!
