Welcome! I’m Ms. Burton and this will be my tenth year of teaching and my eighth year at Lydiksen Elementary School! In the past, I lived and taught 1st grade in New Zealand for two years. Here at Lydiksen, I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I was raised here in Pleasanton and attended Amador Valley High School. I went on to attend the University of Kentucky and I played soccer for them, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I lived in North Carolina and outside of Washington D.C., before moving to New Zealand. I am grateful to be able to return to my hometown of Pleasanton. I love sharing my passions with my students.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, traveling, mountain biking, paddleboarding, reading, playing soccer, learning new technology, spending time with animals, and taking photos.

In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students. I look forward to getting to know more about my students. Oh, the Places We’ll Go!
