All About Mrs. Rocha

I am a Pleasanton native! I attended Valley View, Pleasanton Middle School and graduated from Foothill High School, class of 99! My dad even graduated from Amador. We used to sit in the bleachers at Foothill/Amador football games and heckle each other. :-)

I live in Pleasanton with my husband, 2 daughters, and dog, Nala. My daughters even attend Hart! I am a diehard Disney fan, love music, theatre, reading and hanging out and playing games with my family.

After college, I moved to Nashville and dabbled in the music business. I missed my family though, and eventually moved back to Pleasanton.

This is my 4th year teaching at Hart. Before that, I taught at Donlon Elementary School, Junction Avenue Middle School and worked at Amador High School.

I love to laugh, tell really corny "dad" jokes, play music during class and have fun!

I believe that getting good grades shouldn't be the only goal of school. Learning is a process that is all about the journey, not the destination.

I believe in 2nd chances for students. Adults get second chances, why shouldn't students.

I believe in respect. There will not be busy work in this class. Everything we do will serve a purpose. I respect student and family time, and I expect my students to respect our class time.

I believe my students are capable of great things! I have high expectations and will hold students accountable. I will be their greatest advocate and cheerleader, but I expect hard work.

I believe we are going to have a fantastic year! It may not look or feel normal, but we will persevere and be stronger, better people in the end.

Cheers,

Mrs. Rocha
