Hello all, my name is Nick Mendonca and I teach Pre-Calculus and Honors Geometry at Foothill High School. I graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Mathematics. I was born and raised in Pleasanton, graduating from Foothill in 2013. I am also an assistant coach for the Freshmen football team, having played at Foothill myself. Clearly, football is one of my many interests, along with sports like basketball and baseball. I am a huge music fanatic, and some of my favorite experiences have been going to my favorite artists' concerts and music festivals. I am a big believer that all students possess unique attributes that makes their contribution not only in the classroom, but outside in their community extremely important and impactful. Like in any aspect of life, whether it be sports, art, or personal improvements, these progressions to become better take practice and time, but can always be accomplished with the right mindset. I hope if students gain anything from my class, it is that they establish their confidence as a critical thinker beyond the field of mathematics, create and maintain a hardworking mentality, and realize the potential they carry to contribute to their communities.
