Hello! 

I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I grew up and attended school in Pleasanton (Walnut Grove, Harvest Park, and Amador) and I have always wanted to come back and teach in the town where I grew up! This is my 7th year at Fairlands, I taught kindergarten my first year, 2nd grade for 4 years, and this will be my second year teaching 5th grade. I'm so excited to embark on this new journey with you all and see some familiar faces! 

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo as well  as my M.A. in Teaching at Saint Mary's College, where I also received my teaching credential. When I'm not teaching or planning, I love to run, read and spend time with my family.  Teaching has been my dream job ever since I was in elementary school, and I hope to inspire and encourage my students in the same ways my teachers did for me.  I believe in creating a positive classroom community and helping each of my students find their own passions in learning.  I am looking forward to this school year and seeing where this learning journey takes us!
