The Harvest Park Counseling department has worked to create an alternate space on campus to offer more wellness support for our students. The Nest, located in room A-2, is a safe and welcoming space for students to practice. The Nest (located in room A-2) is open to students during lunch Monday - Friday.
A Certified Wellness Coach is available in The NEST every day from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Students are always welcome to stop by, say hi, and get to know the space.
When a student feels overwhelmed and needs a break from the classroom, they can ask their teacher for a pass to The NEST for a 10-minute reset. After their time, students are sent back to class to rejoin their learning. If a student requires more than 10 minutes, the Wellness Coach will walk them to the Counseling Office for additional support.
The students can practice self-regulation as well as engage in self-growth and education through ACCESS lessons. Visit our Programs & Events page to learn more about what The Nest has to offer students.
The Nest relies on the generosity of our HP community to provide the tools and resources students need. Please consider donating to The Nest through Future Fund or by accessing our Amazon Wishlist.
