About Ms. Smith

Hello! My name is Gabrielle Smith and I am the School Counselor at Fairlands Elementary School. The 2026-2027 year is my sixth year at Fairlands and PUSD. Previous to my time at Fairlands, I worked at a school with children in San Francisco, ranging from Kindergarten through High School. Working with students at Fairlands has been such a special experience and I am excited to share more with you!

I have always had a passion for mental health and working with children. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Cal State East Bay and then my Master’s in School Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Concordia University, Irvine. I have been living in Dublin since I was in middle school and have loved getting to work with students so close to home. 

As a school counseling professional, my goal is to support academic achievement, as well as social and emotional development for all students. The counseling department works closely with the specialist team and administration to provide support for students in the school setting.
