Per PUSD policy, there may be no Independent Study agreements issued the last twenty (20) school days of the year. PUSD will not approve Independent Study requests during the last 20 school days of school. Existing policies related to assignments and grading will be upheld for excused and unexcused absences if taken during the final 20 days of the school year. If your child is absent the last twenty days, we cannot guarantee your child will return to the same school the following school year.
For parents who are dropping off items for students:
Please clearly mark item with student's first and last name AND teacher's name.
Items left for students should be placed in the container on the cart in front of the school office BEFORE 11:30am. Musical instruments can be placed under the table inside the office door.
School policy is that classes will not be disrupted for delivery of items students forgot to take to school.
Items will be given to students at lunch time.
If you are PICKING UP HOMEWORK or other items that a teacher has left in the office for you, feel free to come in and grab the items from the table right inside the office door.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
Parents of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders: Directions for Viewing the PUSD MAP Family Report can be found at this link. (please note, students In our special day class do not take the MAP assessment). The MAP will be taken towards the end of May. Each teacher will create their own schedule for MAP assessment.
Please use the Student Illuminate Portal to view your child’s report cards. When using their district issued device with the Google Sign-On feature, students no longer require a unique password and so parents/guardians can log in through this feature to view all student report cards. Please use your child’s district issued chromebook or have their PUSD Gmail address which you can find on Q. Please ask your child's teacher for their password if you need this information. We are hopeful that this will streamline access for parents/guardians to their child's report card.
Parents who are planning to register their children for Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or grades 1 through 5 at Donlon Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year are invited to drop off their enrollment applications and associated paperwork.
**PLEASE DROP ALL COMPLETED ENROLLMENT PACKETS IN THE BROWN MAILBOX OUTSIDE THE FRONT OFFICE**
For detailed information outlining the steps for enrolling new students, click here to go to the PUSD website.
Parents of current PUSD TK students DO NOT need to complete the online enrollment. TK students who will be attending Donlon for Kindergarten next year will automatically be transferred to us.
Enrollments received after February 28th are received on a first-come, first-serve basis. If Donlon does not have space remaining in that particular grade level, the student will be overflowed (placed) at one of our other PUSD schools.
Registration for our before and after school program must be submitted separately to Donlon Kids Club. Click here for their website.
Our School Plan for Student Achievement for 2022-2023 school year has been approved by the School Site Council - please take some time to review our goals for next year.
PARENTS / GUARDIANS OF CURRENT KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
Please drop off your child's completed Dental Health Form (linked here) by May 31st in the Donlon Health Office, or email a copy to our Health Assistant, Jamie Tompkins, at jtompkins@pleasantonusd.net.
ALL children entering first grade are required to have a Health Exam completed by their doctor. The exam can be dated up to 6 months before starting Kindergarten, and no more than 90 days after entering first grade. Students who will be in first grade during the upcoming 2022-23 school year who have gotten their medical exam but have not yet turned in the Health Exam form, please return the completed form to jtompkins@pleasantonusd.net, or drop it off at the Donlon office.
The due date for submitting the Health Exam for next year's first graders is by November 11, 2022. Click here for a copy of the Health Exam form.
Note: please do NOT share this code on social media - this is specifically for PUSD students.
