Child Nutrition Services will be providing meals for children over the Thanksgiving Break. Families will have the option to pick-up a week's worth of breakfast and lunch on November 23rd from Amador Valley HS. Pick-up will be offered from 10 am - 1 pm. We do ask families to pre-register. Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, November 10

Pleasanton Unified School Board approved in-person school for TK - 5th grade starting January 4

Many of the details of reopening need to be determined by our Donlon staff. According to timelines approved by our school board, staff will be meeting in early November to make decisions about how we will organize our classrooms to provide equitable learning for all of our students. More information will be shared as we develop our detailed plans.

For those students who were unable to get their pictures taken during our scheduled picture days in October, we have a Picture Make-Up Day on Friday, November 13th from 1:15 - 3:15pm. IF YOUR STUDENT ALREADY HAD A PHOTO TAKEN, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS MESSAGE!

If you still need to have your student's picture taken, please click here to sign up for a time slot on 11/13. As a reminder, you are not required to purchase any photos, but we'd love to have all of our Cubs' pictures in the yearbook. Photos will be taken outdoors in the school parking lot. In the event it rains on 11/13, we will need to cancel the photo session.

Health Office News

FIRST GRADE PHYSICAL EXAM FORMS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 9th.

If you received emails from the Donlon health office requesting your student's completed Health Examination form, please make sure to email, mail or drop THIS FORM off in the bin that is located in front of the Donlon office. In addition to the doctors signature, parent/guardian signature is also needed.

Please call Jamie Tompkins at 925-426-4220 if you have any questions. Her office hours are M-F 8:30-1:30.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE REMINDER

If your student is going to be absent and unable to participate in distance learning, please remember to call the Donlon office attendance line at 925-426-0403 and leave a message with the reason for the absence.

From our Donlon PTA - Fall Book Fair Being Held Virtually!

While we can't have our fall book fair in person, we are excited to be able to announce another Virtual Book Fair to support our school. Our fall fair will run from Nov. 9th- 22nd and it's a great time to stock up on books for the holidays and our Read-a-thon, coming in the spring! A portion of the proceeds will come back to our school to purchase more community books!

Donlon's School Site Council - Meeting #2 - Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 5 - 6 p.m.

The School Site Council is an advisory body made up of equal number of members from the parent community and the school staff. Together, we review student learning data and advise a plan for spending discretionary site funds based on this data. Council membership is determined by vote and members serve a two-year term. Bylaws for the council, minutes of our meetings, and the School Plan for Student Achievement (our plan for the school) are posted on our Donlon website (page linked here). Each meeting's agenda is posted on this website, and in the school office at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Zoom link for the meeting is on the agenda, all are welcome to attend.
