TK/Kindergarten Registration for 2021-22

Parents who are planning to register their children for Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in the Pleasanton Unified School District (for the 2021-22 school year) are invited to attend one of our virtual parent meetings:

Virtual Evening Presentations

2021-22 New Student Enrollment:

  • TK, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12 New Student enrollment for the 2021-22 school year will begin on February 11, 2021.

  • Parents of current PUSD TK students do not need to complete the online enrollment.

  • Friday, February 26, 2021 is the deadline for completed enrollment packages to be received and verified in order to be included in a lottery, should one be necessary at your resident school site.

  • Enrollments received after February 26, 2021, are received on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a school site does not have space remaining in that particular grade level, the student will be overflowed (placed) at one of our other PUSD schools.

Dual Language Immersion Program at Valley View Elementary

PUSD's Dual Immersion Program is an Alternate Program for English Learners (EL) and English Only (EO) students to acquire academic proficiency in two languages. PUSD’s Dual Language Immersion program is English & Spanish, together with mastery of academic Common Core State Standards and cultural proficiency for all participating students.

For our 4th graders and 5th graders only:

Planning for when we are able to be out and about again... Here's a program where students & their families can visit national parks for free. It runs until August 31, 2021 , so it could be a great pass to have in the future!

Practice our four BEST prevention tools NOW: Wearing a face covering, Maintaining safe distancing, Frequent hand washing, and Cleaning surfaces. Let's all practice so students are ready to come to Donlon safely when we are allowed to reopen!

(Hint: Students should start wearing a mask during class zoom meetings and while doing school work to start getting used to the feeling.)

If your student is going to be absent and unable to participate in distance learning, please remember to call the Donlon office attendance line at 925-426-0403 and leave a message with the reason for the absence.

NEWS FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE

MEDICATION AT SCHOOL

We have been preparing and are excited to have the kids back on campus as soon as we get the green light.

If you have a student who will have medication at school, please make sure that we have the correct Medication Consent form for the current school year. This applies to Prescribed and Over the Counter medication. Please make sure that all of these guidelines have been met before bringing medication in:

  • Students name must be on the box or bottle (keep label attached for prescription meds)

  • Medication must match exactly to what the doctor’s orders say

  • Consent form must be signed and stamped by the doctor, and signed by the parent/guardian
