PLEASE HAVE YOUR STUDENTS GO THROUGH OUR LOST AND FOUND AREA IN THE BACK OF THE MPR BEFORE THE END OF THE DAY THURSDAY, 12/5. ALL ITEMS NOT PICKED UP BY 4:00 pm WILL BE DONATED ON FRIDAY MORNING, 12/6.
STUDENTS CAN CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND DURING LUNCHTIME AND RECESSES, AS WELL AS BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL. PARENTS MAY CHECK BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL, BUT NOT DURING THE SCHOOL DAY.

Donlon's PTA Reflections participants created beautiful works of art in all genres. On October 10th, we had a wonderful celebration of these students and their works of art in our Donlon library, where the 2D visual arts were displayed for the whole month. Congratulations to all of our hard-working artists, and thank you to our PTA for supporting our students' artistic endeavors.

Mobile Bike Repair Update
Mobile Bike Repair Update
The Alameda County Safe Rides To School mobile bike repair was a success! Our community brought 30 bikes for repair and the technicians fixed all 30 bikes! Students, teachers, parents, and siblings of students all brought bikes for repair. The mechanics worked on brakes, tires, seats, gears, chains, grips and more. The maintenance advice they gave was "A, B, C." Air (90% of tires need more air), Brakes, and Chains. Check them all often to keep your bikes running smoothly. Also keep bikes out of water and rain. Finally, when picking a bike for your child keep it simple, buy them only what they need.

Each month, our school practices safety drills and makes changes to improve our safety procedures. One area that we cannot practice is the most dangerous place on our campus on a daily basis: The parking lot and the streets around our school. During this cold and rainy season, there are more cars in our lot, and children are even harder to see.

One area that we cannot practice is the most dangerous place on our campus on a daily basis: The parking lot and the streets around our school. During this cold and rainy season, there are more cars in our lot, and children are even harder to see.
Please drive cautiously, stay off of your cell phone while driving, stay vigilant for children darting in front of your vehicle, and remind your children to walk their bikes or scooters while crossing streets. Together, we can keep our children safe!
