For the last two years, the Tri-Valley SELPA’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) and the Pleasanton Adult and Career Education has organized a special needs resource and adult transition fair. Again this year, we are excited to announce the 2019-2020 Tri-Valley Resource and Transition Fair.
For the last two years, the Tri-Valley SELPA’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) and the Pleasanton Adult and Career Education has organized a special needs resource and adult transition fair. Again this year, we are excited to announce the 2019-2020 Tri-Valley Resource and Transition Fair.
The year’s FREE event is scheduled for Saturday, 29th February from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. The venue will be held in the multi-purpose room at the Dublin High School on 8151 Village Pkwy, Dublin, CA 94568.

This fair will be targeted towards the residents of Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, Sunol and Mountain House areas, but everyone is welcome to attend. The fair is organized in the form of indoor vendor booths where parents can gain an understanding of resources and programs, pick up flyers, talk to representatives and potentially get the process started towards enrolling their children into some of the programs.

AACI is a Bay Area non-profit. Please read below for information about their annual art, essay and video contest, Growing Up Asian in America (GUAA), for K-12 Bay Area students.
This year’s theme is: Why I Count! And in celebration of the contest’s 25th anniversary, they will be giving out 25 cash awards to students:
· One (1) $1,000 Grand Prize winner
· Ten (10) $500 Best in Class winners
· Fourteen (14) $250 Honorable Mention winners
Entries are due on Friday, March 6, 2020 by 5p.m. and rules and submission instructions are included in the guidelines. (GUAA contest guidelines here or on their website: www.aaci.org/guaa.) There is a competition among PUSD schools to see who can generate the most participants and to win. What do we win? Bragging rights for the School with the most ‘Spirit’ around this Run. The winning school at each level, will also receive the Spirit Trophy at the Award ceremonies. To see how many participants have signed up at Donlon compared to other schools, click here. So, sign up and come out for a great event. Last year the Pleasanton Run for Education raised almost $115,000 (net) to support critical programs. We will keep you posted about fun prizes for students, teachers and schools. Thank you for your support in building on this success.
