If you may be traveling this summer, especially internationally, ensure that you have a history of two MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccines. The United States is experiencing the highest number of measles cases we’ve had this century. All Bay Area cases have been associated with international travel, and measles is on all continents at the moment. Alameda County measles information is posted at www.acphd.org/measles.
