The Donlon Fall Book Fair and Ice Cream Social and "Sweet Savings" are coming soon!
Please join us at the Donlon Fall Book fair coming Monday, Oct 2nd through Thursday, Oct 5th in the Donlon Library. Book fair Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Weds 3-4pm, Thursday 5-7pm (open during the ice cream social). 50% of your Book Fair purchases go directly to Donlon teachers to purchase books and supplies for their classrooms. This is a fun event that shouldn’t be missed!

Donlon CUBS Rules Prize Donations!
Donlon's PBIS team is excited to see all the students following our CUBS rules! The CUBS rules are: Care for others, Use good judgment, Be respectful, and Stay safe. Students have the chance to win pizza with the principal or win a weekly drawing when they are caught using the CUBS rules. Do you (or your business) have any items that you would want to donate for our weekly drawing prizes? Great prizes would be small toys, stickers, calculators, or other trinkets that you think students would enjoy. Prize donations can be dropped off in the office. Thank you for your support!

Students can submit works of art (visual arts, literature, music composition, dance choreography, film production, photography) created for the 2017-2018 theme, “Within Reach.” Art is submitted and judged at the school level and winners advance to the district level for judging. A reception will be held at the school in late October/early November to display the school’s entries and announce the winners. The Submissions will be due October 11th and will be collected before and after school outside of the MP Room. Use this link to see the official rules and entry form.

Please join Mrs. Gates at PPIE’s Fall Gala on October 13, 6-9 PM at Castlewood Country Club. This will be a great event where she will be providing FREE wine pours (along with all our principals) and everyone will enjoy red carpet and green screen photo ops, delicious dinner and dessert, and over 40 wonderful raffle and auction items. Her husband, Martin, will be joining us, and he looks forward to talking with the Donlon parents and staff!

All children, grades K through 5th will run on the Donlon Fields to raise money for our school. Students are encouraged to get friends and family to pledge money for laps they run. We are hoping to raise $50,000 for our school to make needed improvements. For $5 parents and loved ones can purchase a Donlon Paw card to decorate and write an encouraging message to your Donlon Cub. Cards will be sold at the Fall Carnival on Friday October 27th and also sent home in the Fun Run packet in mid October. For an additional $5, you can join your runner too! Lots of volunteers are needed for this event, please contact funrun.donlonpta@gmail.com.

It will involve advising development of the school site plan for the school year, monitoring progress on that plan, and discussing and approving monetary allocations from categorical money. We will meet four times throughout the year starting at 3:15pm for about an hour.
