DONLON ATTENDANCE LINE
925-426-0403
It’s cold and flu season, so we find a few extra kids are out sick at this time of year. Just a friendly reminder to please leave a message on the attendance line when your student(s) will be absent for any reason. Emailing teachers is always a good idea, and a message on the attendance line helps prevent us from calling you to follow up.
ALL Kinders attend from 8:25 - 11:45 am
ALL 1st through 5th Grades attend from 8:25 am - 12:40 pm
NO SCHOOL DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 7
We look forward to celebrating our 5th Graders at the D.A.R.E. Culmination Ceremony on Wednesday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Amador Theater!
At Donlon we conduct monthly safety drills for the entire school. Throughout the year we address fire, earthquake and intruder situations so that all students and staff are prepared in case of an emergency. Here are a few tips for our parent community to consider:
If you have questions about our School Safety Plan, we encourage you to attend a School Site Council Meeting to gain more information, or stop by the office to review our plan.
Schools in Pleasanton are preparing for the annual GATE testing period.
The purpose of GATE testing is to identify and motivate highly able students to realize their full potential. The District works with school staffs to provide high quality differentiated opportunities for learning that meets students' particular abilities and talents and to focus on the areas of need.
Students from grade 3 to 7 in PUSD are offered the opportunity to be tested at least once for GATE identification. Students may be tested several times, as often as every other year. Students in grades 4 to 7 must be nominated by a teacher, parent, or other school staff to be tested for GATE services. All third graders are offered the opportunity to take this test and parents, do NOT need to nominate them. You do need to decide as a family if you want your child to participate in this testing as a third grader. Every third grade family will be sent testing information from the school district office sometime later in December or in early January
