FROM the PLEASANTON LIBRARY
We are trying something new with the Pleasanton Library’s Paws to Read program. It will now be an all drop-in program with no pre-registration required. We are hoping this will make it easier for families to participate. The drop-in registration opens at 6:30 p.m. in the Children’s area on the evening of each Paws to Read night.
Paws to Read is a partnership program between the Pleasanton Public Library and the Valley Humane Society. Children in grades 1-5 are given the opportunity to read aloud to one of the therapy dogs in the library’s meeting room. These furry friends provide a fun and non-judgmental setting that helps children gain confidence in their reading skills. Paws to Read Spring Dates: April 10, 17, 24 and May 1, 8
Drop-In Registration Opens: 6:30 p.m.
Session Times: 7:00 p.m. – 7:25 p.m. or 7:35 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Thanks to your generous donations, our Donlon PTA was able to fund the purchase of new playground equipment. We have "drop shots" (basketball game) on the large playground and on the kinder playground and a new accessible-by-all climbing and sensory structure. The "AT&T Pioneers" volunteer group (and Mrs. Gates) painted a map of the United States on the blacktop, and our district maintenance department replaced the playground surface on the large playground and repaired the kinder playground surface.
