About Mrs.Diaz

Welcome scholars! My name is Chelsea Diaz (formely Brazil) and this will be my eleventh year teaching English/History at Harvest Park Middle School. Eighth grade is a pivotal year in your educational journey, and I am excited to face the challenges with you and make our classroom as engaging and innovative as possible.

I went to school in PUSD myself (graduated from Foothill High School) and received my Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/media studies with a minor in American Indian studies at San Diego State University. I completed my teacher credentials in English and history at Cal State University, East Bay.

When I'm not grading essays, I love spending time with my husband, Carlos, and our families. (Fun fact: my brother-in-law is also a teacher in PUSD!) One of my favorite roles is being Auntie to my two nephews, Miles and Maddox, and my niece, Maple. In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and relaxing with my two cats, Brie and Alani.
