Hello, I am Ms. Benson. I am a teacher at Amador Valley High School. I currently teach in the Social Science department and the subjects I currently teach are Economics and United States History.

I began teaching in 2011 in Long Beach, California and relocated to the Bay Area in 2016 where I have been teaching at the same school ever since. I was not always in education. Prior to my job in education I have worked in a number of private industry fields such as:

• Retail Management

• Real Estate Foreclosures

• Marketing for a major car corporation

• Sales Programs for a major motorcycle corporation

• Production assistance for an independent movie studio

My time in the private corporate world allows me to approach my students from a perspective that I believe can be of benefit to them, especially in my Economics course. My background education is in Political Theory with an additional focus on Religious Studies and Psychology. I discovered my love for economics when I had to teach an Advanced Placement Economics course. Ever since then it has become my favorite subject to teach, followed by United States History.
